BlurShield ("the extension") is a Chrome/Edge browser extension that lets users blur elements on any webpage they choose, primarily for screen recording, live streaming, and screen sharing.
BlurShield does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or website content. The extension does not use any external servers, analytics services, or third-party trackers.
The only information BlurShield stores is a list of the page elements you have chosen to blur on each website, so your choices persist after you reload the page. This information is stored exclusively on your own device using the browser's built-in local storage (chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your browser and is never accessible to the developer or any third party.
BlurShield requests access to run on all websites solely so you can choose to blur elements on any page you visit. The extension does not read, analyze, or transmit the content of any page — it only applies the blur effect to elements you have selected.
BlurShield does not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties, because it does not collect any data in the first place.
